I just ran across one of the best support features I’ve seen in a long time. In recent months I’ve had a very difficult time with customer support with various companies (*cough* T-Mobile), but I won’t name names right now. Today I had a question regarding the new MobileMe service with Apple that I have been grand fathered into because I was a .Mac customer. On the support page for MobileMe, I opened up the Chat support. I love that more people are using this type of support option (No use of cell minutes). But the best part was after the chat ended. A small questionnaire popped up asking about the service I received. I’m happy to help Apple. At the bottom of that was an ‘Email this Transcript’ button!!! I was totally stoked. The transcript sent to me immediately and now there is no question about the conversation. Several of my recent experiences have fallen apart because I didn’t have any sort of backup of the conversation. And even if they did get recorded on the other end, it doesn’t help me that much unless I am to make it a big enough issue for that recording to be pulled up. So Apple, cheers for the awesome feature.
