It isn’t until you see Jay Leno driving down the street in one of his vehicles that you realize just how real the guy is. Sure he has money and fame which sets him aside from normality. As we pulled up to Buena Vista Blvd in Burbank on Saturday, Nay pointed out this funny little vehicle pulling up to the same intersection with what looked like a load of clowns sprouting from the top. As it got closer and stopped at the light, we noticed the traditional blue shirt and gray top that defined the man. He is well known for his love of cars and apparently has a collection of them that outnumbers a small packet of M&M’s. Probably a rumor, but I do hear he has a large garage full of them. We’re not sure what this vehicle was, but it did look like fun. We also don’t know who his guests were with him. We rounded the corner and continued on. Looking backwards we could see that he and his buddies had hopped out and were trying to get the thing going again, all the while holding up traffic behind them, forcing them to go around. Very entertaining to see a celebrity of his stature having car troubles. I understand working on them is just as much fun for him as driving them. He probably lives for these moments.
PS. Sorry for the lousy picture quality, but that’s what we get for only carrying around our camera phones. At least Nay was fast enough to capture proof. I on the other hand (the trained photographer), wasn’t ready. I suppose that’s why we make such a good team.
