long ago in a far away land there was a young man who wanted to play beach volleyball. that young man never got a chance to live out his dream. until this summer, it was just a glimmer in the mind of an evil genius (okay maybe not). the hero of this story and his princess started watching fabulous volleyball tourneys on the big black box and then went to the wonderous land of lake tahoe to watch this magical heroic ahtletic prowess in person. both were so impressed and excited by the sport that it moved them enough to consider the possibilities of trying something new.
today is the new day. we are in the process of packing yet again. boxes are being filled and stockings are not being hung. Christmas is on its way in and we are on our way out. pretty interesting how quickly things can change. for all we know, it may change again in three months and we’ll be making that fourteen hour drive back to nampa. for now though we are excited about our new adventure and just as excited about avoiding some of the cold weather that comes with living in idaho . . . warmer weather here we come.
so, to help some of you understand a little better, toby is going to play volleyball on the sandy beaches of california while working for his current job from a remote location, and lynnee is going to venture into something new. possibly life coaching . . . possibly psychological testing . . . possibly teaching. the details are yet to be figured out, so we’re trusting our hearts and more importantly the guidance of God’s wonderful hand as we figure it all out. we do know that as for today’s plans, we are on a short term adventure. we expect to be back in idaho again in late fall of 2008. probably after our next adventure to africa as we help mom and dad friberg move back permanently to the states (there plans are still quite in the air, but we hope that one of these days their plan will stick)
