Our recent trip to Africa concluded at Kruger National Park. What better way to end a holiday than a few days spotting wildlife? This morning we headed out on a hike in the park… in the wild. It’s pretty exhilarating knowing there could be a lion or leopard around the next rock or tree. You hope that they aren’t hungry if they are there, and you begin to think that if it’s your time to go, what better story to tell in Heaven. Unfortunately (yet fortunately) we didn’t see anything that made our hearts drop from fear. We did however enjoy an experience we won’t soon forget. What a beautiful place.

No matter your thoughts on Obama, it’s a good time to be proud of your country. Shivers run through me, filling my heart and mind with hope and excitement for the years to come. I believe in Obama and am proud to have had the opportunity to vote for him. My cousin Sadie forwarded this video to me. It’s a nice composition.

Just over a month ago we attended a wedding of a friend from childhood. Molly’s best friend. They asked me to shoot some video. I took this on as a challenge to push myself creatively with a new media. I’ve been needing some outlets to get my creative juices flowing again. There is a TON of work involved in this type of project. It gave me a glimpse of ways to better shoot and edit an event and mold it into a short story. All of us daydream from time to time of new commuting solutions. Here we have one of the best ideas yet. I just might be interested in getting a job with a commute longer than 18 seconds if I could slide on home in my swimsuit. Enjoy the ride!

Monday nights Chuck episode contained a clip that gave me a seriously good laugh. I even mentioned to Lynnee and Matt that I needed to blog about it.
