Monday nights Chuck episode contained a clip that gave me a seriously good laugh.  I even mentioned to Lynnee and Matt that I needed to blog about it.  I’ve run across a posting by Gizmodo that I should have posted myself.  Click here to see the clip from Chuck.  If you know me at all, you’ll understand why I think this is so funny!

An Apple Email A Day

So I’m still very bothered regarding Apple’s decision to eliminate the matte screen.  I’ve sent an email via their feedback form regarding this issue, however no one responds, which is not surprising.  It seems as though they’ve decided to avoid the issue, which is common.  Unfortunately I can’t let this one go considering just how important the issue is in regards to what I do.  I can’t work on a glossy screen.

So in a effort to figure out what is going on and to get a response from this crazy company (Don’t get me wrong, still love them, but I hate the thought of leaving them over this), I’ve decided to begin my Apple Email A Day campaign.  If anyone is interested in joining me in this fight, please send Apple a new email every day via their feedback form.  Maybe if we create a loud enough roar, they will do something about it.  Today is Day 1.

Thanks for your help!!!

Here’s an iMac with a glossy screen.  The reason why I won’t want to deal with this on a laptop.

New Apple Laptops

Just a few moments ago Apple released their new line of notebooks.  The rumors of them bringing down the price point didn’t quite happen like we had hoped.  But they are keeping on the current MacBook and pricing it $100 less than before.  However, the new line is nice and the look great.  I have one major major issue.  I’m a creative who spends more than the average amount of time on my laptop.  Dust spotting digital images is a major task for me.  Some of you know that I’ve complained heavily about glossy screens because of the obvious reflection.  Apple has decided to eliminate the matte surface screen option.  Doing the necessary tasks on a glossy screen is going to present a challenge for me.  One that I’m going to be forced into.  Arghh!!!!  It makes me so mad.  Apple, I love you, but sometimes I hate you; rest assured, I’ll never leave you.  wink

Apple in the Classroom

Here’s a photo that I get a kick out of.  People wonder why Apple is doing so well.  Well a big part of it is their marketing to the younger generation.  The Mac is what these kids know and they’re going to continue using it as long as Apple continues to offer it’s quality products.

iPhone 3G

Last week Nay and I decided to hop in line for a new iPhone from Apple.  I couldn’t get her to be a total Mac geek and spend the night on the street, but we did get up at 3 in the morning and were in line by 4 at the San Luis Obispo Apple store.  We were 6 and 7 in line and felt pretty good about our odds of getting phones at that point.  A lot of people said to me that I was crazy for standing in line for a gadget that I could pick up just a couple days later without the wait.  Hah!  Now who’s laughing a week later knowing that lines are still being formed and phones are tough to get.  Even still, I hope during the next major Apple launch I’ll be able to head to San Francisco and hang with a bunch of other Mac geeks just for the sake of only living once.  I’ll upload a small video of the morning soon, but here are a couple pics.
